New To Gethsemane Lutheran Church?

Welcoming Statement

Gethsemane Lutheran Church intends to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all of God's people. Gethsemane Lutheran Church is a congregation registered with Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Thanks be to God for the blessings we have and the differences we share!

Communion
We invite to the Table of the Lord all baptized Christians. Lutherans affirm the presence of Christ in the bread and in the wine.  The host (bread) may be received in the hand and consumed or touched to the wine in the chalice (cup) that is offered.

When you arrive...
Our worship times are posted on the Home Page of this web site. When you arrive, an usher will hand you a bulletin which will include the order of service. Find a seat anywhere... generally an usher will help you, but please fell comfortable enough to just to sit near a friendly face and just feel at home.

Our worship can vary from Sunday to Sunday. It's okay to ask your neighbor sitting next to you questions about what's going on. Other visitors, students, and long time members enjoy the variety of worship and helping those unfamiliar with the liturgy.

If you are new to our community of faith, please sign our guest book by the Church entrance. You are cordially invited to remain for fellowship and refreshments served in the Mary Martha room downstairs.

Leaving the service...
The Pastor and various associates will generally be by the door, shaking hands and chatting briefly as people exit the Church. Take the bulletin with you if you wish. Phone numbers and various contact information is available. We hope that you will call or visit during the week during office hours if anything is bothering you, you need assistance, someone to pray with you, or just want to get acquainted with a wonderful family of Christian believers.

Take time to look at the bulletin boards on the walls, look around the church, walk over to the neighboring building which we call St. James Hall. Ask for a tour.

We can't tell you enough how much we want YOU to experience what we want to share. If you live in the Manchester area, and are looking for a church home, we invite you to consider Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Much of what our church is about can be found on this site; if you need more information, please feel free to contact our office.
